PR:000036823 - http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/PR_000036823
Ontology Information
PRO ID PR:000036823 Show OBO stanza
PRO name prM-E complex
Synonyms
PRO-short-label: EXACT: DENV-prME
Other: EXACT: prME
Definition A protein-containing complex that involves the initial assembly of the dengue virion as an immature particle which contains prM noncovalently associated with E in a heterodimeric complex. It contains N-linked glycosylation sites at Asn-347, Asn-433, Asn-183. UniProtKB:P29990, 115-775, Asn-183/Asn-347/Asn-433, MOD:00160. [PMID:10590151, PRO:DAN, PRO:ES]
Comment Requested by=IDODEN. In the prME heterodimer, prM prevents an irreversible conformational change of E during virus secretion through acidified sorting compartments. Proteolysis of prM leads to the formation of homodimeric forms of E in virus particles before their release from the cell. [PMID:10590151, PRO:ES].

PR:000036823 PR:000036837 prM DenV-prM A dengue virus genome polyprotein proteolytic cleavage product that is a product of the cleavage of C-prM by host signalase. It has a single N-linked glycosylation site at position Asn-69. Example: UniProtKB:P29990, 115-280, Asn-183, MOD:00160. [PMID:14963133, PRO:DAN, PRO:ES] 1
PR:000036822 E protein DenV-E A dengue virus genome polyprotein proteolytic cleavage product that is a structural protein containing two alpha-helices (EH1 and EH2) at the C-terminus and two transmembrane domains (ET1 and ET2) of the dengue virus RNA genome. It contains two N-linked glycosylation sites, at Asn-67 and Asn-153. Example: UniProtKB:P29990, 281-775, Asn-347/Asn-433, MOD:00160. [PMID:17459925, PMID:23300717, PRO:DAN, PRO:ES] 1
