name: CEACAM1a-2, signal peptide removed N-glycosylasparagine form (mouse)
def: "A carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 1, signal peptide removed form that is the signal cleavage product of isoform CEACAM1a-2 of allele CEACAM1a in mouse and includes at least one N-glycosylasparagine. UniProtKB:Q3LFS7, 35-236, MOD:00160." [PRO:KRC, PMID:19358828]
comment: Category=organism-modification. Evidence=(ECO:0000006, based on PMID:19358828). Note: PMID:19358828 in figure 2B shows in vitro expression of Ceacam1a-2, Ceacam1a-2C1 and Ceacam1a-4C1 isoforms by BHK transfectants followed by immunoprecipitation and Western blotting detects these Ceacam1 isoforms at approximately 55, 45, and 120 kDa, respectively. While the authors do not explicitly mention glycosylation, these sizes are consistent with weights of glycosylated forms and not with predicted weights of unmodified isoforms.
