:
EXACT:
D2B (mouse)
Definition
"A D(2) dopamine receptor isoform 2 that is encoded in the genome of mouse." [
PMID:11069937
,
PMID:1991517
, PRO:KRC]
Comment
Note:
PMID:1991517
shows cloning of longer cDNA for isoform 1 (aka D2A) and shows distribution of both isoform 1 and isoform 2 mRNAs within mouse tissues.
PMID:11069937ZCOLNSPACEZ
Use RT-PCR to detect two forms of D2 mRNA that differ by 87 base pairs, corresponding to the two alternatively spliced isoforms of D2 mRNAs. Also detect the D2L mRNA by Northern blot from muscle striatum.
