| PRO name | retinoic acid receptor beta isoform 4 (mouse) |
| Synonyms | | PRO-Short-label: | EXACT: | mRARB/iso:4 | | Other: | EXACT: | RARB isoform Beta-4 (mouse) | |
| Definition | "A retinoic acid receptor beta isoform 4 that is encoded in the genome of mouse." [PMID:1313565, PRO:AAA, UniProtKB:P22605] |
| Comment | Note: PMID:1313565 provides cDNA evidence for isoforms beta-2 and beta-4. Like the beta-2 transcript, the beta-4 transcript is initiated from the P2 promoter, but there is an alternative splicing within the 5'-UTR of beta2 such that the first 265 nucleotides of the beta-4 mRNA is spliced to the beginning of exon 5, such that the beta-4 isoform contains the entire sequence of regions B-F, but only a short A region of 4 amino acids. Translation of the beta-4 mRNA is initiated from a CUG codon. |
