| Comment | Note: PMID:16054618, a combination of affinity-purified polyclonal antisera generated against epitopes from various parts of the longest possible Dnah8 coding region were used to determine that the only significant form in testis and spermatozoa is the longest form (isoform 1). Some of the profusion of mRNA species is due to variation of the 5'-UTR that does not change the coding sequence. PMID:12297094 demonstrates the existence of at least two alternatively spliced, testis-specific Dnahc8 mRNAs transcribed from both the wild type and the mutant t allele. |
