Protein Ontology Workshop 2019: The workshop will be held on October 23-24, 2019. Venue: Georgetown University.

Protein Ontology Workshop 2017: The workshop was held on October 11-12, 2017. Venue: The Jackson Lab, Bar Habor, Maine.

Protein Ontology Workshop 2016: The workshop was held on November 14-15, 2016. Venue: Georgetown University, 3300 Whitehaven Street NW, Washington DC 20007. The goal of this meeting is to foster collaborative community efforts by defining real use case scenarios with selected collaborators while testing the interoperability and usability of PRO.

Protein Ontology Workshop: The workshop was held on June (17)-18-19, 2014. Venue: Georgetown University, 3300 Whitehaven Street NW, Washington DC 20007.

PRO-PO-GO Meeting: International Coordination Meeting for Ontology-Based Efforts for Plant Biology took place on: May 15-16, 2013. A meeting to promote the coordination of the Gene, Protein, and Plant Ontologies and of other reference ontologies used in plant biology. Venue: Ramada Inn, Amherst, NY 14221.

Alzforum / Protein Ontology Kick-Off Meeting: The goal of this meeting was to initiate a project to create a protein information resource that will address the needs of Alzheimer's Disease (AD) researchers in a maximally effective way. Date and Venue : October 4-5, 2011, Hotel Indigo, Buffalo, NY.

Protein Ontology 3nd Annual Meeting: The third annual meeting of the Protein Ontology project took place in University of Delaware on April 26-27, 2010. An annotation jamboree/workshop was conducted on April 28. Location: Clayton Hall Conference Center [1], Laird Campus, University of Delaware, Newark. This is an internal meeting.

Protein Ontology 2nd Annual Meeting: The second annual meeting of the Protein Ontology project took place in Georgetown University, Washington DC on November 18-19, 2008. This is an internal meeting. The meeting was co-located with the PRO annotation jamboree on November 20. Goal: to establish what PRO needs to do in order to ensure that the ontology is maximally useful.

Protein Ontology Kick-Off Meeting: The inaugural meeting of the Protein Ontology project took place in Georgetown University, Washington DC on December 2-4, 2007. This was an internal meeting. Goals: to subject the PRO ontology to preliminary critique, and to establish plans for its further development, dissemination and use.
